Transmissions presents: PROFESSOR MARSTON AND
THE WONDER WOMEN (2017)

8pm – 11pm

24 Apr

On closing night of Three’s Company: Polyamory, Throuples, and Unethical Non-Mongamy we screen Professor Marston and the Wonder Women (2017), an endearing gem from director Angela Robinson (D.E.B.S.) that tells the true story of the inventor of Wonder Woman, and his polyamorous relationship with the two women who inspired the character. Far from fading into the background, the women behind the man are as much the context of the story as he is, and their love for each other during a time where acceptance defied imagination is an integral part of the film’s emotional foundation. Luke Evans, Rebecca Hall, and Bella Heathcote star in a story of censorship, repression, and forbidden love against a backdrop of 1940s America.

Come for the vintage bisexuals and rope bondage, stay for the romance and extremely horny origins of a comic-book icon. Whatever your pleasure, you’ll find us cosy in the basement at Dalston Superstore for another night curated especially for our beloved trans audience.

“How are you going to learn anything at all about life if you refuse to live it?”
